Old Library Management Committee minutes July 23
The Old Library Management Committee met July 23rd.
Present were Susan May, Marilyn Rodes and Joan Aubrey.
We are still discussing septic and working on establishing our own 501c3 for contributions. We discussed plans for our upcoming Talk and Slide Show on August 18th. A reminder will be sent separately AND there are posters throughout the White Mountains. In late May, we painted the interior plaster walls and ceiling. Thanks to Nancy Pettinger for donating paint! The Aubreys installed picture moulding along the walls so any future pictures/paintings can be hung without nail holes in plaster.
If you haven't seen the building without books, stop in on a Saturday morning. The door is usually open at about the same time that the Farmers' Market is going on. We have copies of “Summer Cottages in the White Mountains” for sale, some note cards and “JXN” stickers. Also, there are some smaller bookcases left for sale. We've had quite a few visitors!
The six Art in Bloom displays in the old Library were fantastic. Thank you to Cal Minton and the Garden Club for being the first to use the building since it was the Library!
And thank you to Bill Wogish, his family and friends for donations in Marty's memory.
We hope to see you all Saturday at the Book signing and slide show/talk!
